Matt is a people-advocate, focusing his practice to develop, sustain, and enhance workplaces and create exceptional work experiences. As SE Health’s Chief Human Resources Officer, he champions SE Health’s People Everything approach to enable its people to reach their greatest potential and empower them to deliver the best care and service. He also leads the non-clinical education and development functions, and the SE Career College of Health.
Matt has an extensive background in human resources, having practiced and led all sub-disciplines during his career, spanning the Ontario Public Service, the Hospital for Sick Children, and as the CHRO at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre prior to joining SE Health.
Matt holds a Master of Arts in Leadership from the University of Guelph and an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Wilfrid Laurier University. He’s also completed many certificates from renowned educational institutions across North America, including one on Leadership at the Rotman School of Management, and Managing Healthcare Delivery from the Harvard Business School.
